Isaac Mizrahi: An Unruly History at the Jewish Museum of New York is the first museum survey of the influential American fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi, marking three decades of his highly creative, ever-evolving, interdisciplinary career. Mizrahi was born in 1961 raised by a Jewish family in Brooklyn, New York. Beginning with his first collection in 1986 and running through the present day, the exhibition weaves together the myriad threads of Mizrahi’s prolific output, juxtaposing his work in fashion, theater, film, and television.

On view March 18 - August 7, 2016, the exhibition features over 50 fashion looks plus an originally produced multisensory video highlighting Mizrahi’s creative process. Together they showcase the extraordinary spectrum of his designs, productions, and partnerships.

This app includes audio that features interviews with designer Isaac Mizrahi, Chee Pearlman, the exhibitions guest curator and design journalist; Kelly Taxter, Assistant Curator at the Jewish Museum; Amy Fine Collins, fashion journalist and longtime friend of Isaacs; and Mark Morris, choreographer.
